EXCEL is made by applying an air barrier membrane to a structural "high resistance" wood fibre insulation panel. The membrane imparts resistance to water penetration while being permeable to water vapour. The panel is composed of interlocking wood fibres impregnated with a wax emulsion. EXCEL is volatile organic compound (VOC) free and has excellent thermal resistance and sound deadening properties.
