We are one of the largest dock building companies in Northern Ontario and looking to expand our lumber, composite, railing, fencing and building material sales for the construction and supply of outdoor projects. As a member of the Castle Building Centers Buying Group, we have access to all products at the wholesale level enabling us to sell and be competitive in today's market. The successful candidate will be responsible for the growth of this division.
- Preparing quotes and doing material take-offs
- Ordering and stocking material
- Shipping and receiving
- Handling telephone inquiries
- Making follow-up calls
- Develop marketing plans to increase traffic
- Invoicing and collecting payments
- Assembling products and displays
- Help out in shop and yard when backlogs occur
- Any other tasks management requires
You must be a self-starter with a positive attitude and strong desire to serve customers in a cheerful and helpful manner. You will communicate product knowledge and determine customers needs by asking questions and finding solutions to their problems. You will have previous retail experience, in a lumber yard setting would be preferred. You must have excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write and do simple mathematics. You must be physically fit and possess a valid driver's licence. Forklift certification would be an asset.
